I’m slowly coming out of my shell since moving into Kent. Our house is looking amazing now, still loads to do regarding the unpacking situation, but it’s liveable.
I’ve been speaking to a few mums at P1s school. Every morning and every afternoon the same lady speaks to me, she’s Australian and has only been in the country for a short amount of time herself. So we have that in common to start with. I know her children’s ages, the name of the child in P1s class but I don’t know her name! I haven’t found the confidence to ask her. How silly.
I went to a cafe with my MiL to meet one of her friends who happens to also have a daughter in P1s class. Which was really nice. Then this afternoon my MiL, the girls, G and me attended a Save A Baby’s Life course.
It was actually really informative. The man was rather… Friendly! P2 kept giving him a funny look. I had a thoroughly good day really. I’ve started to enquire about other baby groups and even another pole fitness class for me.
